I heard about placental encapsulation. Through my midwife, but did know where to start looking for someone to use. Then I heard from a friend of a friend who recommended Amanda and the placenta pills and said she had had no baby blues after taking them. Right from the start Amanda was totally professional and helped guide me towards the remedies that would be most beneficial to me and my baby. Having had postnatal anxiety with my first two babies, I wanted to try to avoid it this time, so I opted to have the placenta smoothie, the simple and combined pills, the tincture, essence and baby balm. When I came home from hospital, I was really very sore and achy after a long labour. I had the smoothie…which tasted just like strawberries and orange... and went to bed. The next day I felt totally different. Really energetic and alert. I also felt much less sore. I would definitely recommend!! The pills arrived within a few days and I finished the simple pills last week. I can honestly say that I haven't had any down days, despite having a hungry newborn and two big girls to look after. I really felt the placenta pills gave me a great boost when I needed it most, during the first couple of weeks after giving birth. They were very easy to take and I feel I've benefitted from replenishing my body with the essential nutrients that would have otherwise been discarded.
I've really loved using the placenta nipple balm as a nappy cream. Jasper's skin has always been as good as new and I'm convinced it’s from using the balm. I'm almost coming the end of the pot I have and I wonder whether it would be possible to make some more from the other products I have? I think I have a couple of pills left but also have the tincture and the essence. If not, could you possibly advise whether or not there is anything at all similar on the market?
When I started looking into placenta encapsulation I didn’t quite know where to start. I read about all the possible benefits but I was not even sure if there was anyone in my area who could do it. When I came across Amanda's services I was really pleased she covered a wide area since my home and the hospital that I chose were quite far apart. I decided to hire Amanda services not only because her professionalism, answering all my questions and emails straight away, but also for being the only service that would provide a collection kit. The service was amazing, she collected it at an agreed time and date which was before the 24 hrs maximum collection. I received the capsules two days after collection by certified delivery. Her service was also available during "tricky" dates like Christmas; I was due on the 23rd of December and other placenta encapsulation services were not available during holiday period. Regarding the benefits of the capsules, I was a little sceptical, but as soon as I started taking them I was amazed how quickly I started recovering from the delivery. I started feeling much better within two days of taking the pills. This was my second pregnancy, and the recovery of my first pregnancy took ages. Placental encapsulation was recommended to me by my midwife as a way to help prevent PND, boost breast milk supply and provide additional energy. I have had my placenta prepared by Amanda twice and she has always provided exceptional service. Amanda is professional, efficient and very friendly! She makes the whole process really easy. I feel that getting my placenta prepared really helped with my recovery with my first and reduced the onset of PND which has been present within my family. Being able to replace all those hormones, minerals, vitamins and antibodies lost by delivery of the placenta, it just makes sense to replenish those nutrients and this is the perfect way to do it!
